Maintenance Overview
A routine maintenance protocol is vital for the long-term operation of the BLADE. CEM suggests that you perform
the routine maintenance on your instrument as outlined below, along with having a CEM Certied Technician to
inspect your system annually.
Detailed instructions are outlined in the “Maintenance Procedures” section of this manual.
As Needed Maintenance
• Add caps
• Replace plenum: See “Recovery from Vessel Failure” in the “Troubleshooting” section of this manual. For HF
applications using the TFM liner see Appendix A.
• Clean trap
• Clean Surfaces of the Instrument
Annual Maintenance
• Preventative Maintenance by CEM Certied Technician.
This is performed annually by a CEM Certied Technician. However, should your individual requirements vary, a
CEM Representative is available to assist in creating a schedule to meet your needs. Contact the CEM Contract
Administrator at 800-726-3331 for assistance.
