DETAILED STEPS
PurposeCommand or Action
Enables privileged EXEC mode. Enter your password if
prompted.
enable
Example:
Switch> enable
Step 1
Enters the global configuration mode.configure terminal
Example:
Switch# configure terminal
Step 2
Specifies an interface type and identifier; enters the
interface configuration mode.
interface Interface_type stack/module/port
Example:
Switch(config)# interface gigabitethernet 1/1/4
Step 3
Attaches the IPv6 Source Guard policy to the interface.
The default policy is attached if the attach-policy option
is not used.
ipv6 source-guard [attach-policy <policy_name> ]
Example:
Switch(config-if)# ipv6 source-guard attach-policy
example_policy
Step 4
Shows the policy configuration and all the interfaces
where the policy is applied.
show ipv6 source-guard policy policy_name
Example:
Switch#(config-if)# show ipv6 source-guard policy
example_policy
