7 Maintenance
7.1 Important notes on maintenance
Qualicationofpersonnel
All maintenance work must be carried out only by well qualied and trained specialists authorised by the
owner. It is the owner’s responsibility to verify proper qualication of the personnel.
General note
The instructions and details for maintenance work must be followed and upheld.
Only the maintenance work described in this documentation may be carried out.
Only use original Condair spare parts to replace faulty parts.
Safety
Some maintenance work requires removal of the unit cover. Please note the following:
DANGER!
Dangerofelectrichazard!
Youmaygetintouchwithlivepartswhenthesteamhumidierisopen.Touchingliveparts
may cause severe injury or even lethal violation.
Prevention: Before carrying out any maintenance work set the Condair RM out of operation as de-
scribed in chapter 4.6 (switch off the unit, disconnect it from the mains and stop the water supply) and
secure the unit against inadvertent power-up.
CAUTION!
The electronic components inside the steam humidier are very sensitive to electrostatic
discharge.
Prevention: Before carrying out any maintenance work to the electrical or electronic equipment of the
steam humidier, appropriate measures must be taken to protect the respective components against
damage caused by electrostatic discharge (ESD protection).
WARNING!
Danger of burning!
The water in the steam tank can be hot (up to 95 °C). There is danger of burning when the steam
tank is dismounted shortly after steam has been produced.
Prevention: Before carrying out any work on the steam system set the Condair RM out of operation
as described in chapter 4.6, then wait until the components have cooled down sufciently thus pre-
venting danger of burning.
