1. Laser Diode - The frequency of the laser diode emission is determined by the temperature
of the laser diode. Consequently, the temperature of the laser diode is set so its
frequency is within the Nd:YAG absorption band.
2. NPRO Seed Laser Crystal - The output frequency of the NPRO is controlled via
temperature. The temperature tuning curve has been shown in Figure 1-7.
The controller provides DC voltages for various elements, including the laser diode, the laser
diode TEC, the NPRO crystal TEC, and the Q-switch build-up time minimization circuit.
