Removing the processor
Prerequisites
1 Follow the safety guidelines listed in Safety instructions.
2 Follow the procedure listed in Before working inside your system.
3 If installed, remove the expansion cards.
4 Remove the air shroud.
5 If installed, remove the mid drive tray.
6 Remove the heat sink.
Steps
1 Using a Torx #T20 screwdriver, loosen the screws to release the processor socket cover. The sequence to loosen the screws is 3, 2,
and 1.
