Removing the M.2 BOSS card
Prerequisites
1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in the Safety instructions.
2. Follow the procedure listed in the Before working inside your system.
3. Remove the expansion card riser 2.
4. Remove the air shroud.
NOTE: The procedure to remove the M.2 BOSS card is the same for Rear Accessed and Front Accessed configurations.
About this task
Holding the blue tag, pull the M.2 BOSS card away from the system board connector.

Prerequisites

3. Remove the expansion card riser 2.

NOTE: The procedure to install the M.2 BOSS card is the same for Rear Accessed and Front Accessed configurations.
Steps
1. Align and insert the M.2 BOSS card connector with the connector on the system board.
2. Press the blue touch point on the M.2 BOSS card firmly until it is fully seated.
