Removing the touchpad
1 Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
2 Remove the:
a battery cover
b battery
c base cover
d hard drive
e keyboard
f palmrest
g system board
3 To remove the touchpad:
a Lift and disconnect the touchpad cable from the computer [1].
b Remove the M2.0X3 screws that secure the touchpad to the computer [2].
c Lift the touchpad from the computer [3].
Installing the touchpad
1 Place the touchpad into the slot on the computer.
2 Replace the M2.0X3 screws that secures touchpad on the computer.
3 Connect the touchpad cable to the computer.
4 Install the:
a system board
b palmrest
