USB INTERFACE MODULE (FLEX-USBIM)—GENERAL CLEANING
CAUTION: The USB interface housing is not water ght. Do not saturate or immerse the
housing in liquid.
The USB Interface Module’s plasc housing can be cleaned using a so cloth dampened with
70% (v/v) Isopropyl Alcohol.
A-SCAN PROBE (DGH6006)—GENERAL CLEANING AND DISINFECTION
CAUTION: Do not submerge the A-Scan probe in liquid beyond the cord strain relief. Care
must be taken to prevent liquids from entering the probe housing from the cord-side or
from coming into contact with the probe connector.
NOTE: Disinfecon should be performed aer general cleaning.
NOTE: Wear protecve gloves when performing general cleaning or disinfecon.
GENERAL CLEANING: Disconnect the probe from the USB interface module. Dampen a so cloth
with 70% isopropyl alcohol (70% IPA). Wipe the probe p, housing and cord (if necessary) to
remove any body uids or parculate maer present. Wipe with a water-dampened cloth (using
dislled, sterile or de-ionized water) to remove any residue and then wipe dry with a so, dry
cloth.
DISINFECTION: Immerse approximately 1/4” of the probe p in a soluon of 70% isopropyl
alcohol (70% IPA). If it is desired that more of the probe housing be disinfected, the probe may
be immersed as far as the beginning of the probe cord strain relief . Allow the probe to soak for
no more than 1 hour. Rinse using dislled, sterile or de-ionized water. Thoroughly dry the probe
using sterile gauze.
A-SCAN IMMERSION SHELL (P-102)—GENERAL CLEANING AND DISINFECTION
WARNING: The catheter tubing used with the immersion shell can not be reused.
CAUTION: The immersion shell cannot be autoclaved.
The A-Scan immersion shell is not sold sterile, and must be cleaned and disinfected before each
use. Clean and disinfect the immersion shell using FDA and EPA approved cleaning and
disinfecon products. The soluons must be compable with polycarbonate and Kynar plasc.
Follow the instrucons on the cleaning and disinfectant labels. Refer to the immersion shell
manufacturer’s instrucons for more informaon.
