TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
UNABLE TO CONNECT—DGH DATABASE SERVER
Error Message/Indicator: “Error while opening database” message.
“An excepon occurred while opening a report.” message.
“Save unsuccessful.” message.
“An excepon occurred while tesng the connecon to the database. Error while
opening database.” message.
“Unable to update the procedure record in the database.” message
Unable to open the database soware.
Unable to view/edit paent informaon while using the soware.
- Conrm that the locaon (computer name) and password for connecng to the database server
are correct.
- If connecng to a database over the network, verify that the computer hosng the database
is powered ON and that all network cables are connected. Verify that the rewall on the database host
computer is congured to allow access to SQL Server (refer to the Scanmate Installaon Guide for
more informaon on conguring the rewall).
- Verify that both computers are in the same WORKGROUP or DOMAIN..
- Conrm that the “SQL Server (DGHSERVER)” instance is running in SQL Server 2012.
1. Launch SQL Server Conguraon Manager on the computer hosng the database. Conguraon
Manager can be found in the Windows Start Menu by selecng Programs > Microso SQL Server
2012 > Conguraon Tools > SQL Server Conguraon Manager.
2. In the SQL Server Conguraon Manager’s le-hand column select SQL Server Conguraon
Manager > SQL Server Services
3. The soware will populate a list in the right-hand column. Conrm that the item labelled
SQL Server (DGHSERVER) state is “Running”. If this item is listed as “Stopped”, right-click and
select “Start” from the drop-down menu.
- If the system administrator password for SQL Server has been lost or forgoen, it will be
necessary to reset it using Management Studio.
1. Launch SQL Server Management Studio on the computer hosng the database.
Management Studio can be found in the Windows Start Menu by selecng
Programs > Microso SQL Server 2012 > SQL Server Management Studio.
2. Select “Windows Authencaon” instead of “SQL Server Authencaon”.
3. Navigate to Security > Logins and right-click on the “sa” User Account, then select
Properes.
4. Enter and conrm a new password for the “sa” User Account.
USB CONNECTION NOT DETECTED
Error Message/Indicator: “No A-Scan Aached” message
“No B-Scan Aached” message
- Conrm that the drivers have been installed for the USB 2.0 port the module is currently
connected to.
- Conrm that the USB cable is fully inserted and rmly seated in the USB interface module/probe.
- Connect the USB Interface Module to a various USB ports on the PC. Conrm that the USB cable
is fully inserted and rmly seated in the USB connector on the PC.
