TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
UNABLE TO CONNECT—DGH DATABASE SERVER
Error Message/Indicator: Error while opening databasemessage.
An excepon occurred while opening a report.message.
Save unsuccessful.message.
An excepon occurred while tesng the connecon to the database. Error while
opening database.message.
Unable to update the procedure record in the database.message
Unable to open the database soware.
Unable to view/edit paent informaon while using the soware.
- Conrm that the locaon (computer name) and password for connecng to the database server
are correct.
- If connecng to a database over the network, verify that the computer hosng the database
is powered ON and that all network cables are connected. Verify that the rewall on the database host
computer is congured to allow access to SQL Server (refer to the Scanmate Installaon Guide for
more informaon on conguring the rewall).
- Verify that both computers are in the same WORKGROUP or DOMAIN..
- Conrm that the SQL Server (DGHSERVER)instance is running in SQL Server 2012.
1. Launch SQL Server Conguraon Manager on the computer hosng the database. Conguraon
Manager can be found in the Windows Start Menu by selecng Programs > Microso SQL Server
2012 > Conguraon Tools > SQL Server Conguraon Manager.
2. In the SQL Server Conguraon Managers le-hand column select SQL Server Conguraon
Manager > SQL Server Services
3. The soware will populate a list in the right-hand column. Conrm that the item labelled
SQL Server (DGHSERVER) state is Running”. If this item is listed as Stopped”, right-click and
select Startfrom the drop-down menu.
- If the system administrator password for SQL Server has been lost or forgoen, it will be
necessary to reset it using Management Studio.
1. Launch SQL Server Management Studio on the computer hosng the database.
Management Studio can be found in the Windows Start Menu by selecng
Programs > Microso SQL Server 2012 > SQL Server Management Studio.
2. Select Windows Authencaoninstead of SQL Server Authencaon”.
3. Navigate to Security > Logins and right-click on the saUser Account, then select
Properes.
4. Enter and conrm a new password for the saUser Account.
USB CONNECTION NOT DETECTED
Error Message/Indicator: No A-Scan Aachedmessage
No B-Scan Aachedmessage
- Conrm that the drivers have been installed for the USB 2.0 port the module is currently
connected to.
- Conrm that the USB cable is fully inserted and rmly seated in the USB interface module/probe.
- Connect the USB Interface Module to a various USB ports on the PC. Conrm that the USB cable
is fully inserted and rmly seated in the USB connector on the PC.
