EXPORTING AND IMPORTING DATA
Individual measurement and video les can be exported and imported from the database to be
consulted in other locaons or by other praconers. The Scanmate soware must be installed
on a computer to view measurement or video les.
EXPORT A-SCAN MEASUREMENT FILE
Select File > Export > A-Scan Measurements. The measurements currently in the measurement
bank will be saved as a .meas le.
EXPORT A-SCAN VIDEO
Select File > Export > A-Scan Video. The images currently in the video buer will be saved as
a .vdo le. Alternavely, an .avi le (which can be opened on most PC media applicaons) can be
exported by using the top menu bar and selecng File > Export > A-Scan Video (AVI).
EXPORT B-SCAN/UBM IMAGE
Click the [OPEN FILE] icon to display saved images associated with the paent, and then drag-
and-drop the thumbnail onto the desktop or into the appropriate folder. The image will be saved
in a .jpeg format.
EXPORT B-SCAN/UBM VIDEO
Select File > Export > B-Scan File. The images currently in the video buer will be saved as a
video le. The user can choose to save in .bscan and .avi le formats. Alternavely, an .avi le
(which can be opened on most PC media applicaons) can be exported by using the top menu
bar and selecng File > Export > B-Scan Video (AVI).
EXPORT A-SCAN/B-SCAN/UBM REPORT
Click the [OPEN FILE] icon to display saved reports associated with the paent, and then drag-
and-drop the thumbnail onto the desktop or into the appropriate folder. The report will be
saved in a .pdf format.
IMPORT A-SCAN MEASURMENT FILE
Select File > Import > A-Scan Measurements. A browser window will open. Select the
desired .meas le to open. The opened le will replace any informaon currently in the paent
data elds and the measurement bank. The opened le can be saved into the database at this
point.
IMPORT A-SCAN VIDEO FILE
Select File > Import > A-Scan Video. A browser window will open. Select the desired .vdo le to
open. The opened le will replace any informaon currently in the paent data elds and the
video buer. The opened le can be saved into the database at this point.
IMPORT B-SCAN/UBM VIDEO FILE
Select File > Import > B-Scan Video. A browser window will open. Select the desired video le to
open. The user can choose to import .bscan, .bs and .cini les. The opened le will replace any
informaon currently in the paent data elds and the video buer. The opened le can be
saved into the database at this point.
Legacy B-Scan les do not contain all the necessary informaon to be included in the DGH-
Scanmate database. When aempng to import a legacy le, a dialog window will open
requesng addional informaon when imporng these le types. Select the Paent that you
would like to associate the imported le with. If the desired paent is not shown, select
[CANCEL] and add the paent to the database. Verify that the Eye (OD or OS) and the Scan Date
are correct and select [IMPORT].
