Dodge ZB 2005 - Door Ajar; Decklid Ajar Circuit Open

Symptom:
*DECKLID AJAR CIRCUIT OPEN
POSSIBLE CAUSES
DECKLID AJAR SWITCH GROUND CIRCUIT OPEN
OPEN DECKLID AJAR SWITCH
DECKLID AJAR SWITCH SENSE CIRCUIT OPEN
BODY CONTROL MODULE - DECKLID AJAR CIRCUIT OPEN
TEST ACTION APPLICABILITY
1 Disconnect the Decklid Ajar switch connector.
Using a 12-volt Test Light connected to 12-volts, probe theGround circuit and testfor
continuity.
Does the light illuminate?
All
Yes → Go To 2
No → Repair the Decklid Ajar Switch Ground circuit for an open.
Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.
2 Disconnect the Decklid Ajar Switch connector.
Connect a jumper wire between the Sense circuit and the Ground circuit.
With the DRBIIIt in Inputs/Outputs, read the DECKLID AJAR SW state.
Does the DRBIIIt display CLOSED?
All
Yes → Replace the Decklid Ajar Switch.
Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.
No → Go To 3
3 Disconnect the Decklid Ajar Switch harness connector.
Disconnect the BCM C3 harness connector.
Measure the resistance of the Sense circuit between the BCM C3 connector and the
Decklid Ajar Switch connector.
Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?
All
Yes → Go To 4
No → Repair the Decklid Ajar Switch Sense circuit for an open.
Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.
4 If there are no possible causes remaining, view repair. All
Repair
Replace the Body Control Module.
Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.
