Symptom:
BCM - RUN/START HARDWIRE INPUT MISMATCH
When Monitored and Set Condition:
BCM - RUN/START HARDWIRE INPUT MISMATCH
When Monitored: Continuously.
Set Condition: When the BCM detects the Run-Start circuit is not active but the MUX
switch is in the Run position for 2 seconds.
POSSIBLE CAUSES
FUSED B(+) CIRCUIT OPEN
IGNITION SWITCH
FUSED IGNITION SWITCH OUTPUT CIRCUIT OPEN
BODY CONTROL MODULE
TEST ACTION APPLICABILITY
1 NOTE: Diagnose and repair any Ignition MUX DTCs before proceeding with
this test.
Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the Ignition Switch harness connector.
Measure the voltage between the Fused B(+) circuit and ground.
Is the voltage above 10.0 volts?
All
Yes Go To 2
No Repair the Fused B(+) circuit for an open. If the fuse is open make
sure to check for a short to ground.
Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.
2 Turn the ignition off.
Access the Ignition Switch harness connector.
Turn the ignition on.
While back probing, measure the voltage of the Fused Ignition Switch Output
(Run-Start) circuit.
Is the voltage above 10.0 volts?
All
Yes Go To 3
No Replace the Ignition Switch in accordance with the Service
Information.
Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.
