When Monitored and Set Condition:
TPM DIAGNOSTIC - BCM
When Monitored: Ignition ON and Start positions.
Set Condition: When the BCM input from the TPM Module goes Low for more then 3
seconds after initialization.
POSSIBLE CAUSES
INTERMITTENT CONDITION
FUSED IGNITION SWITCH OUTPUT (RUN/START) CIRCUIT OPEN
GROUND CIRCUIT OPEN
LOW TIRE PRESSURE SIGNAL CIRCUIT SHORT TO VOLTAGE
LOW TIRE PRESSURE SIGNAL CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND
LOW TIRE PRESSURE SIGNAL CIRCUIT OPEN
TPM MODULE INTERNAL FAILURE
BCM INTERNAL FAILURE
TEST ACTION APPLICABILITY
1 Turn the ignition on.
With the DRBIIIt, read BCM and TPM Module DTCs.
Does the DRBIIIt display TPM DIAGNOSTIC?
All
Yes → Go To 2
No → Go To 8
2 Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the TPM Module harness connector.
Turn the ignition on.
Measure the voltage of the Fused Ignition Switch Output (Run/Start) circuit in the
TPM Module connector.
Is the voltage above 10 volts?
All
Yes → Go To 3
No → Repair the Fused Ignition Switch Output (Run/Start) circuit for
an open.
Perform TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM VERIFICA-
TION TEST.
