*HORN FAILS TO SOUND WHEN ALARM IS TRIPPED
POSSIBLE CAUSES
DTC PRESENT
HORN CIRCUIT
BODY CONTROL MODULE - VTSS
TEST ACTION APPLICABILITY
1 NOTE: Check for any TSBs that may apply before continuing with this test.
Turn the ignition on.
With the DRBIIIt, read BCM DTC’s.
Does the DRBIIIt display a HORN RELAY CONTROL CIRCUIT DTC active?
All
Yes Refer to Ignition, Power, Accessory for the related symptom(s).
Perform VTSS VERIFICATION TEST - 1A.
No Go To 2
2 Does the horn operate from the horn button? All
Yes Replace and program the Body Control Module in accordance
with the Service Information.
Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.
No Refer to symptom Horns Inoperative in the Ignition, Power,
Accessory category.
Perform VTSS VERIFICATION TEST - 1A.
