POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST VER - 1 APPLICABILITY
1. NOTE: After completing the Powertrain Verification Test the Transmission Verifi-
cation Test must be performed.
2. NOTE: If the PCM has been replaced and the correct VIN and mileage have not
been programmed, a DTC will be set in the ABS Module, Airbag Module and the
SKIM.
3. NOTE: If the vehicle is equipped with a Sentry Key Immobilizer System, Secret Key
data must be updated. Refer to the Service Information for the PCM, SKIM and the
Transponder (ignition key) for programming information.
4. Inspect the vehicle to ensure that all components related to the repair are connected properly.
5. Inspect the engine oil for fuel contamination. Replace the oil and filter as necessary.
6. Attempt to start the engine.
7. If the No Start condition is still present, refer to the symptom list and perform the diagnostic
testing as necessary. refer to any Technical Service Bulletins that may apply.
8. Run the engine for one warm-up cycle to verify operation.
9. With the DRBIIIt, confirm that no DTCs or Secondary Indicators are present and that all
components are functioning properly.
10. If a DTC ispresent, refer to the appropriate category and selectthe corresponding symptom.

All
Yes → Repair is not complete, refer to appropriate symptom.
No → Repair is complete.
TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST APPLICABILITY
1. Ensure the air pressure is properly set in ALL tires.
2. Ensure using theDRBIIIt that the TPM Module is programmed withALL four Tire Pressure
Sensor/Transmitter ID’s.
3. Ensure the Tire Pressure Sensor/Transmitters are transmitting using the Miller tool 9001
RF detector.
4. Turn the ignition off.
5. Connect all previously disconnected components and connectors.
6. Turn the ignition on.
7. With the DRBIIIt, erase TPM and BCM DTC’s.
8. Turn the ignition off.
9. Turn the ignition on and ensure that the 9LO TIRE9 LCD message is neither flashing or on
continuously.
10. With the DRBIIIt, read TPM and BCM DTC’s.
11. If any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC’s) are present, return to Symptom list and
troubleshoot new or recurring symptom.
12. If there are no DTC’s present after turning ignition on, road test the vehicle for at least 10
minutes above 33 Km/h (20 mph, WITHOUT the DRBIIIt installed.
13. Caution: Ensure braking capability is available before road testing.
14. Ensure that the 9LO TIRE9 LCD message is neither flashing or on continuously after road
test.
15. Again, with the DRBIIIt read TPM and BCM DTC’s. If any DTC’s are present, return to
Symptom list.
16. If there are no DTC’s present,and the customer’s complaintcan no longer be duplicated, the
repair is complete.
