Chapter 2 Operations
7. Functions of Block Mode and Their Use
One of the block modes is called as “ALL” by which the paper feed trays of the towers are used without being
divided. In the other block modes, the paper feed trays are divided into “1/2 block”, “1/3 block” and “1/4
block” to use.
If this function is used, you can load paper on the block which is inactive even if the machine is operating,
and operation time will be reduced.
7-1. Structure of Block Mode
• There are some modes which cannot be selected according to the No. of towers connected.
• The block display does not move to the next if paper runs out and count-up occurs
simultaneously.
• When the LUR is not connected, paper feeding for the next block will not start automatically
when the error sets are ejected even if paper runs out on the tray. Check the error sets ejected
to the downstream unit and restart operating the machine.
• The paper feed trays may be divided differently depending on the system configuration.
