9. Collation
9-1. Checking the Paper Feeding
Check that the paper is fed normally after setting the paper ejection direction, program mode, block mode,
and cover insert mode on PC CONTROLLER (optional).

Press key for about one second to
collate one set.
After one set of sheets of paper is fed,
The paper ejection place can be set to the
downstream unit or reject tray.
For further details, refer to the instruction
manual of the PC CONTROLLER (optional).
• When connecting more than two towers, if the leftmost tower is set so that collated paper is
ejected to the left side and the rightmost tower is set so that collated paper is ejected to the
right side, collation operations of these two towers cannot be carried out simultaneously.
• When setting the block change to manual for the block mode, paper will be fed only from the
selected block. To memorize the thickness of the paper of all trays, perform preset operations
by block.
• In the alternate mode, paper is sent twice at preset operations. First the cover and book block
are sent from the upper paper feed tray, then the cover from the lower paper feed tray is sent.
Paper will be automatically ejected to the reject tray.

If the paper is not collated correctly in order:
Check the paper loading method.
If double-feed or mis-feed occurs:
Check the following items to adjust, and press the key again.
• Height of level sensor
• Strength of separating air
• Setting of double feed detection level
• Setting of clutch feed timing
• Setting of suction amount
