11. Double-Feed Detection Function
11-1. What is Double-Feed Detection Function ?
Double-feed is feeding of more than two sheets of paper at once time.
Using a sensor which measures paper thickness, the thickness of a paper fed is read as standard data during
presettings, this paper is then compared with the data of the paper conveyed from the paper feed trays, and
if the dierence between the two data is large, it is determined as double-feeding of paper.
This sensor is called double-feed detection sensor.

The detection position of the double-feed detection sensor is as shown in the following drawing in respect
to the double-feed detection range.
Set the double-feed detection setting on the PC CONTROLLER (optional).
For further details, refer to the operation manual of PC CONTROLLER (optional).
