8.2 Decoding service status words
The service status can be accessed through the serial link. This method of accessing
service status will give the most complete informaon of current and future service
requirements and preventave maintenance acvies can be scheduled.
A summary of the current pending service status is given in response to the service
status command that follows:

The reply is as follows:

The service status word is made up of 8 hexidecimal digits. To decode this word, convert
each digit int
o a 4digit binary number as described in Decoding system status words on
page 89.
Each binary digit (bit) represents a ag that is acve (state 1) or not acve (state 0). To
help decode the service status word, each bit is numbered (starng with 0 for the least
signicant to 31 for the most signicant) as shown in Controller run me on page 87. The
meaning of each bit in the service status word is given in Table: Service ags.
