OPTION SELECTION
Provision has been made on this assembly for
a
set of jumpers that will let the microprocessor know when
it
has the components required for
a
548A (26.5
GHz)
counter, and if
it
has an extended frequency option
(Option 06). These jumpers are read by the microprocessor when the counter
is
turned on, and will select
micro code which
is
applicable only when those options are available. A jumper from El to E3 (fr~m'~ins
8 and 9 on the PIA U2) indicate that this
is
a
548A counter. A jumper from E2 to E4 indicates that Option
06 (Band 4
)
has been installed.
