5.3.2 FieldCare
FieldCare is Endress+Hauser's plant asset management tool based on FDT technology. FieldCare
can be used to configure all Endress+Hauser devices and third-party devices which support the FDT
standard. The following operating systems are supported: WinNT4.0, Win2000 and Windows XP.
FieldCare supports the following functions:
• Configuration of transmitters in online operation
• Loading and saving device data (upload/download)
• Documentation of the measuring point
Connection options:
• HART via Commubox FXA191 and the RS 232 C serial interface of a computer
• HART via Commubox FXA195 and the USB port of a computer
• PROFIBUS PA via segment coupler and PROFIBUS interface card
5.4 Lock/unlock configuration
5.4.1 Software security locking
Enter a number ≠ 2457 into the "unlock parameter" (*A4) function in the "diagnostics" (*A)
function group.
The symbol appears on the display. Changes are no longer possible.
If you try to change a parameter, the device jumps to the "unlock parameter" (*A4) function.
Enter "2457".
Parameters can be changed again.
5.4.2 Hardware security locking
Press S, O and F simultaneously.
Changes are no longer possible.
If you try to change a parameter, the following appears:
L00-fmrxf0a4-20-00-00-en-001
Press S, O and F simultaneously. The "unlock parameter" (*A4) function appears.
Enter "2457".
Parameters can be changed again.

Note!
A hardware locking can only be unlocked again via the display by pressing the O, S and F keys at
the same time again. It is not possible to unlock the hardware by communication.
