10 Technical data
10.1 Technical data at a glance
10.1.1 Input
Measured variable The Gammapilot M measures the pulse rate (number of counts per second). This rate is proportional
to the intensity of radiation at the detector. From this rate, the Gammapilot M calculates the desired
measured value:
• Level limit (0% = "radiation path free"; 100% = "radiation path covered")
• Level (in %)
• Position of interface (in %)
• Density (unit selectable)
• Concentration (unit selectable)
Pulse rate:
• Max. 45000 c/s per individual unit
• Max. 65000 c/s cascade
Temperature input (PT 100)
for density measurements
In order to compensate temperature influences on the density measurements a temperature sensor
PT 100 (4-wire connection) can be connected.
• Measuring range: -40 °C to 200 °C
• Accuracy: ±1 K
10.1.2 Output
Output signal • FOUNDATION Fieldbus (FF)
• Pulses for cascading mode
Output damping Freely selectable, 1 to 999 s
10.1.3 Characteristic quantities of the Foundation Fieldbus interface
