1. HoldtheMini‐GBICwithitstopsidefacingupandits7‐pinedgeconnectorfacingthe
port
slot.
2. CarefullyaligntheMini‐GBICwiththeportslot.
3. PushtheMini‐GBICntotheportslotuntiltheMini‐GBIC“clicks”andlocksinto
place.

Note: If the Mini-GBIC is one with an RJ45 connector such as an MGBIC-02 (Figure 3‐3),
the installation procedure is the same as described below. However, the Mini-GBIC has a
wire handle to release it.
