Replacing Ink Cartridges

Caution:
❏
You must remove the yellow tape seal from the cartridge
before installing it; otherwise, the cartridge will become
unusable.
❏
Do not remove the blue portion of the tape seal from the
top of the cartridge; otherwise, the print head may
become clogged and be unable to print.

Do not remove the tape seal from the bottom of the
cartridge; otherwise, ink will leak.
6. Place the cartridge gently in the cartridge holder. Do not press
down on the cartridge. Lower the ink cartridge clamp until it
locks into place.

Caution:
Once you install the cartridges, do not open their clamps
again until you replace the ink cartridges. Otherwise, the
cartridges may become unusable.
7. Press the
E
load/eject button. The print head moves to the
color cartridge replacement position. If you need to replace
the color ink cartridge as well, repeat steps 5 through 7.
8. Press the
E
load/eject button again. The printer moves the
print head back to its home position and charges ink in the
system. This process takes about one minute to complete.
