The printing ribbon or retransfer film is cut or torn
Parts of the printer can move without warning. Do not try to remove ribbons, ribbon remains or cards when the printer is connected to its power
supply.
Accessories: standard transparent adhesive tape, a pair of scissors.


Repair the printing ribbon or retransfer film
1. Disconnect the printer from its power supply.
2. Open the door of the printer.
3. Pull the cassettes out of there compartments and put them on a flat surface with the pins facing up.
4. If visible and if possible, manually remove any larger remains of ribbon or film from the rollers.
5. Tape the two portions of the printing ribbon or retransfer film together using standard transparent adhesive tape then wind the printing ribbon or
retransfer film:
a. If the printing ribbon or retransfer film is torn, cut the torn pieces.
b. Rotate the end roll until the first cut portion of the ribbon or film is on top.
c. Pull the second cut portion of the ribbon or film over the first one.
d. Tape the second portion to the first portion with transparent adhesive tape.
e. Use the wheel on the outside of the cassette to rotate the end roll to the beginning of the next yellow panel.
