EVS Broadcast Equipment SA
Issue 2.0.7.2 September 2021
60 Supervisor
Note
The Unit Cluster ID must be identical for all Processing Modules
contributing to a Production Cluster (those which have the same
Cluster ID).
Unit Count
The Unit Count equals to the number of Processing Modules that
contribute to a production. The Unit Count value is preset automatically
depending on the Topology settings and is only available for manual input
with “Switch-100G” mode.
Network Top.
The Topology setting determines the architecture on how the 100/10 GigE
lines are linked to each other. The topology must fit to the number of
Processing Modules connected to the network. The following table
presents the currently supported topologies:
Topology Comment
None The Processing Module is a standalone module
and not connected to the network.
Direct-2 2 Processing Modules are directly wired.
Direct-3 3 Processing Modules are directly wired.
Switch 100G Multiple Processing Modules are linked via
100GbE switch.
Note
Each Topology requires a defined usage of the two 100GigE
ports A and B of the Processing Module. For details refer to
the section 7.3.4 Network Cabling Examples.
The Topology Setting must be identical for all Processing
Modules contributing to a Production Cluster (those which
have the same Cluster ID).
For proper network settings and validated devices please
refer to the limited version of the EVS Network Design
Guide.
