8.6 Card reader replacement
Replacing the card reader depends on the model installed.
Chip Card Reader
Chip card readers are often equipped with tamper switches on both the card
reader and pin pad. Partly unscrewing the reader may already trigger the tamper
switch making the reader useless. If this is the case, the reader must be sent back
to the supplier to reset the switch.

Disconnect the cable
·
Unscrew the reader
·
Mount the new reader
·
Connect the cable
