Figure 9-1 shows a typical vertical machine arrangement with one machine
mounted on top of the other using a bolted ange.
In ange-mounted machines, alignment corrections are made directly at the
ange.
Angularity is corrected by inserting or removing shims between the anges.
The Product calculates the shimming thickness for each ange bolt. Offset is
corrected by positioning the ange laterally.
