Figure 9-1 shows a typical vertical machine arrangement with one machine
mounted on top of the other using a bolted ange.
In ange-mounted machines, alignment corrections are made directly at the
ange.
Angularity is corrected by inserting or removing shims between the anges.
The Product calculates the shimming thickness for each ange bolt. Offset is
corrected by positioning the ange laterally.
