Wireless Throughput
The WLAN Throughput test measures the bandwidth of
the connection to a WLAN (SSID) or to a specific AP. The
device must be connected as a client to the network. The
test uses the following methods to test the bandwidth:
Ping: used to test with any remote device that
supports Ping.
To use Ping, select Ping. Then select the IP address of
the target device from the drop-down list box.
FTP: used only with a device running an FTP server.
Measures the time it takes to send or receive a file.
To use FTP, select FTP then select the IP address of
the target device from the drop-down list box. In
addition, supply the Username and Password.
Throughput results are measured in Kbps and include
last, min (best), avg, and max (worst) values. You can
view these results in a graph or a table.
