wire electrode

Danger from springiness of spooled wire electrode.
It can cause injuries.

When inserting the wire electrode into the wire drive, hold the end of the wire elec-
trode firmly.

Adjust the contact pressure as shown
below
- Doing so will prevent deformation of
the wire electrode and ensure that the
wire is transported properly
Standard values for contact pressure with
smooth feed rollers:
- Steel = 3 - 4
- CrNi = 3 - 4
Standard values for contact pressure with
toothed feed rollers:
- Tubular covered electrodes = 3
- Aluminum = 1 - 3
