Panel Keys
The name and function of each panel key are described in Table 11.
Table 11 Name and Function of the Panel Key
Panel key name Function
FUNCTION Starts the menu operation or selects the menu.
INPUT Confirms or executes the menu operation.
DISPLAY Displays multiple messages on the LCD panel.
CURSOR Moves the cursor in the LCD panel.
SETTING Inputs data into the LCD panel.
CLEAR Cancels or terminates the menu operation.
For details on the menu operations using the panel keys, refer to "Menu Operation Using the Panel Key"
(page 91
).
Power Switch
This switch is used to turn on or off the ETERNUS DX.
The ETERNUS DX that is currently off is turned on by pressing the Power switch.
The ETERNUS DX that is currently on is turned off by pressing the Power switch for four seconds or more.
Power switch operations are disabled during the remote mode (or when the REMOTE LED is turned on).
Power switch operations are available when both the remote mode (or when the REMOTE LED is turned
on) and the maintenance state (or when the MAINTENANCE LED is turned on) are enabled.
Service Controllers (SVC)
An SVC coordinates with the controller and is a unit that controls the monitoring function for the entire ETERNUS
DX.
Two units are installed in a frontend enclosure.

1 CM ports
This port is used to connect SVCs and CMs.
2 PWC port
The PWC port is used to connect a power synchronized unit to perform power synchronization.
