Chapter 7 Installing Internal Options
• Where to connect the remote service board control cable
Connect the internal power cable and server control cable supplied with the remote service board as
shown in the figure below.
To use the remote service board, ServerView is required. Be sure to install it. For how to install
ServerView, refer to "6.1 Server Monitoring Tool [ServerView]" (pg.168). For the remote service
board functions, refer to "ServerView User's Guide".
When the remote service board is connected, the monitor brightness may become lower. In this case,
adjust the monitor for higher brightness.
The recommended screen refresh rate for the monitor is 70Hz. In case of poor resolution of the
monitor display, set the screen refresh rate to 70Hz.
Only the remote service board PG-RSB103 can be installed with the basic card slot conversion kit.
Only the remote service board PG-RSB103L can be installed without the basic card slot conversion kit.
