8.1 Switch Block Settings
The BIOS password setting can be canceled through the switch block settings.
■ Switch Location
The switch block of the server is located on the baseboard ("1.3.4 Baseboard" (pg.27)) as shown
below.
■ Switch Settings
The following shows the description of each switch.

Switch No. Description
Switch 1 Always keep in OFF position.
Switch 2
Sets whether or not to delete a password.
ON: Deletes the password.
OFF: Does not delete the password. (Default)
Switch 3 Always keep in OFF position.
Switch 4 Always keep in OFF position.
• When setting a switch block, turn off the server and peripheral devices, and
unplug all power plugs from the outlet ("1.4.3 Turning Off the Server"
(pg.33)). Failure to do so may cause electric shock.
