Chapter 8 Hardware Configuration/Utilities
8.1 Switch Block Settings
The BIOS password setting can be canceled through the switch block settings.
Switch Location
The switch block of the server is located on the baseboard ("1.3.4 Baseboard" (pg.27)) as shown
below.
Switch Settings
The following shows the description of each switch.

Switch No. Description
Switch 1 Always keep in OFF position.
Switch 2
Sets whether or not to delete a password.
ON: Deletes the password.
OFF: Does not delete the password. (Default)
Switch 3 Always keep in OFF position.
Switch 4 Always keep in OFF position.
When setting a switch block, turn off the server and peripheral devices, and
unplug all power plugs from the outlet ("1.4.3 Turning Off the Server"
(pg.33)). Failure to do so may cause electric shock.
