7.9.3 How to Install the Power Supply Unit
This section explains how to install and remove the power supply unit.
1 Turn off the server and peripheral devices and unplug the power cables from
the inlet.

2 Remove the dummy unit.
Remove the screws of the dummy unit, and pull it out toward you, holding the handle.
 Be sure to keep the removed screws for later use.
3 Attach the power supply unit.
Hold the power supply unit with both hands. Insert it straight into the power supply unit slot.
 When attaching a power supply unit, be sure to confirm that the connector of the power supply
unit is not damaged or bent.
4 Connect the power cable to the inlet.
• Areas around the power supply unit may be very hot. Turn off the power and
wait for a while before starting work.
