■ Installing an Expansion Card in Slots 6 to 8 (With Basic Card Slot
Conversion Kit)
1 Turn off the server and peripheral devices and remove the top cover.
"7.2 Removing and Attaching the Top Cover" (pg.174)
2 Touch a metal part of the server to discharge static electricity.
3 Remove the riser card.
Loosen the screws that fix the riser card and rear side of the server, then pull up and remove the
riser card.
4 Remove the slot cover from the riser card.
Pull out the screws, and remove the slot cover.
Be sure to keep the removed slot cover for later use.
