Installing the Software after the Recovery Image is Restored
Note: The following steps are needed only if you restore the image from the
DVD Recovery Disc S et that yo u pu rchase d.
Installation of essential access software
1. Insert the B ootable Disc in your DVD drive.
2. Open the Drivers folder in the disc, and follow the steps in readme.txt. If there is not a Drive rs
folder in the Bootable Disc, t he computer does not need the essential access software.
The recovery image alrea dy ha s the essential access software installed.
3. You can now connect to the internet and download FSDM (Fujitsu Software Download
Manager) from the support site an d download all the software applicable to the
model and OS using FSDM if they are not downloaded yet.
Auto Installation support for the software downloaded from support website
1. Download FSDM (Fu jitsu Software Download Manager) from the sup- port site and down load all
the drivers applicable to the model and OS using FSDM if they are not downloaded yet.
2. When the software packages are downloaded from the web, it is important to
download the Auto Installer Software package and the m o del/language-specific
Readme file if you prefer to auto install the software.
3. It is important to have the extracted Auto In staller software package folder
and Readme file in the same location as other software folders. Otherwise
autoinstallation of the software will not be supported.
4. Inside th e A uto Installer software package, launch FjAutoinstall.exe as administrator.
5. Click Yes on the User Account Contro l dialog box. This will take some time to
process the software packages. A message will be displayed during this time
stating Please wait while the content is being processed.
6. If the E ULA is displayed for the Fujitsu Software Auto Installer, accept
the EULA, otherwise continue.
7. The Fujitsu Software Auto Installer user interface will be launched providing the ability
to auto install the software dow nloaded from support site.
8. It is recommend ed that you install all the software in the listed order. You can
Select All, to in stall the software in the order listed.
9. Click the Install button t o start the installation.
10. Afte r installing all the selected drivers, the Installati on Results window is d isplayed. Click OK.
11. The You must restart the system for the settin g s to take effect. Do you wish to
reboot now? message appears. Select Ye s.
12. T he syste m will now reboot.
Windows 10 Procedures
It is very important that you create your Recovery Drive befo re beginning to use your system.
It is also important that yo u create a bac kup of the content of the C:\Drivers on your
system to writa ble m edia or an external drive. System-Speci fi c Software Drivers are
also available for down load through the Fujitsu support site.
