System telephone firmware V4.20 is required to operate this module.
This module provides your system telephone with a multi-function digital answering machine. These
operating instructions describe howto use thismodule in conjunction withthe system telephones el

meg CS410 and elmegCS410-U. The softwareof theses telephones already supports use of an answe
-
ring machine module.
The scope of functionsoffered by the answering machine depends on the software used in the system
telephone. The features described in this operation manual are based on the software status for the
system telephones valid at the time of printing.
Answering machine functions
•
Up to 48 minutes recording capacityfor normal speechrecordings.
•
Dedicated key foractivating and deactivating theanswering machine.
•
Extendedfunctions for the call LED. The LEDlightsupina different color when the answering
machine is switched on and flashes when new messages are present that have not yet been lis-
tened to.
•
10 announcements, 4 information texts, forwarding announcement, sign-off announcement
and announcement with full answering machine.
•
Dictation recording
•
Individual configuration and polling of message recording possible for each MSN extension
number.
•
Time-controlled announcement for each number (daily), or for the numbers »MSN-1«to
»MSN-3« (weekly profile).

Adjustable recording quality (normal, good, very good).
•
Logging of calls.
•
Listening while amessage is being recorded.
•
Remote, PIN-protected polling.
•
Automatic forwarding (relaying) of newly recorded messages by means of a call or a UUS1 or
SMS message.
