Remote polling
You can set the answering machine so that it can be operated remotely from a different telephone.
Remote access to the answering machine is protected by thetelephone PIN andispossi

ble only with the first extension number (»MSN-1«) entered in telephone directory.
Remote polling: e.g. activating/deactivating the answering machine, listening to or deleting messa

ges, listening to, deleting or recording announcements, activating announcements for a specifc MSN
and configuring automatic forwarding for recorded messages.

Remote polling
Press the »Remote polling« softkey. Remote polling is activated or deactivated.
A checkmark (»®«) displayed next to the softkey indicates that the feature is active. Press this softkey
again to deactivate this feature. The check mark disappears.
When you have activated remote polling, thiswill be indicated in the idlestate by an »×«
on the display.
Setting the speech quality
You can set three different levels of speech quality for all texts recorded (announcements, info-texts
and dictations) (»normal«, »good«or»very good«). The maximum recording capacity de-
creases with increasing speech quality.
Recorded messages from callers and loggings are always recorded in »normal« quality.
