My device does not connect to my phone
Select > Phone, and verify that your phone is paired with the navigator.
Enable Bluetooth wireless technology on your phone, and bring your phone within 10m (33ft.) of the device.
Verify your phone is compatible.
Go to www.garmin.com/bluetooth for more information.
Complete the pairing process again.
To repeat the pairing process, you must unpair your phone and device (Disconnecting a Bluetooth Device,
page51), and complete the pairing process (Pairing with Your Smartphone, page48).
The device does not charge in my vehicle
Verify the vehicle is turned on and is supplying power to the power outlet.
Verify the interior temperature of the vehicle is within the charging temperature range indicated in the
specifications.
In the vehicle fuse box, verify the fuse for the vehicle power outlet is not broken.
Changing the Fuse in the Fuse Cable
NOTICE
When replacing the fuse, verify the replacement fuse is fully inserted into the fuse housing. The vehicle power
cable does not work unless it is assembled correctly.
If your device does not charge in your vehicle, you may need to replace the fuse located on the red system
power cable.
1 Lift up the cover from the top of the fuse housing.
2 Insert a new 3 A fuse.
3 Replace the cover on the fuse housing.
My battery does not stay charged for very long
Decrease the screen brightness (Display Settings, page54).
Shorten the display timeout (Display Settings, page54).
Decrease the volume (Adjusting the Volume, page6).
Turn off the wi-fi radio when it is not in use (Wi‑Fi Settings, page52).
Put the device in power saving mode when not in use (Turning the Device On or Off, page5).
Keep your device away from extreme temperatures.
Do not leave your device in direct sunlight.
My device does not connect to my computer
If you connect the device to your computer but a notification does not appear, you can follow these steps.
1 If necessary, select to return to the main menu.
2 Select .
3 Select Tap to Connect to Computer.
