8-4-16 Probe Shelf Assembly Replacement Procedure
NOTE: The probe holders and rails are an integral part of the probe shelf assembly; these components
may not be replaced separately.
8-4-16-1 Tools
Appropriate Phillips screw driver.
8-4-16-2 Preparations
Shut down the Vivid q N ultrasound unit.
8-4-16-3 Probe Shelf Assembly Removal Procedure
1) Remove all peripherals from the Vivid q N portable ultrasound scanner.
2.) Working from the front of the SafeLock Cart and underneath the probe shelf assembly, loosen and
remove the two lower screws (highlighted), that secure the shelf in position, Figure 8-107 below.
3.) While supporting the shelf with one hand, loosen and remove the two upper screws (one on
either side - see Figure 8-108); remove the shelf.
