Playing PK5 Oriental
PLAY ON THE KEYBOARD IN REAL TIME
1. Play on the keyboard.
KANOUN 1
You will hear the “Kanoun1” sound play across the full keyboard extension.
The group of Keyboard Activators (Upper 2, Upper 1, Lower) shows Upper 1 se-
lected (LED on), indicating that the UPPER 1 keyboard section is active to play.
2. Press UPPER 2.
KANOUN 1
STRINGS
A second sound (Strings) is introduced, layered with the first across the entire key-
board.
Pressing a single note on the keyboard plays two sounds simultaneously.
The group of Keyboard Activators (Upper 2, Upper 1, Lower) shows Upper 1 and
Upper 2 selected (LEDs on).
3. Press LOWER and play with both hands.
WARMPAD KANOUN 1
STRINGS
A third sound (WarmPad) is introduced and the keyboard is now divided with a Split
Point at note F#3. The LOWER keyboard plays over the range C2 - F#3. The
UPPER 1 and UPPER 2 sections are assigned to the range G3 - C7. This keyboard
mode is called SPLIT mode.
The group of Keyboard Activators (Upper 2, Upper 1, Lower) shows Upper 1, Upper
2 and Lower selected (LEDs on).
PLAY MANUAL BASS
In Real Time Mode, PK5 Oriental adds a fourth Sound to the keyboard, allowing you to
play bass manually.
4. Press Function button F2 and play again with both hands.
WARMPAD KANOUN 1

The Manual Bass track corresponds to the Bass accom-
paniment track of the current Style. When the Styles are
not playing, you can choose to play the Bass accompani-
ment track manually by “disconnecting” the Bass accom-
○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○
paniment track from the Styles.
