4.5.3 Pump Settings
The following settings can be made individually for each pump:
Minimal - minimal power (during a wave trough or if pump inactive)
Maximal – maximal power (during a wave crest)
Night – maximal performance during nocturnal change
Storms – maximal performance during a storm
Behavior while feeding pause – adjustable is
uninvolved (Feeding pause does not affect this pump),
at minimum (pump is operated only with minimum
power during the feeding pause)
or off (pump is switched off during the feeding pause).
4.6 Eheim
With the accessory ProfiLux EHEIM controller, it is possible to connect an Eheim type
Professional 3e external filter to ProfiLux 4.
ProfiLux 4 is then able to control the flow rate of the external filter as a function of a flow
pump channel.
The external filter then follows within the scope of the technical feasibility - the flow rate of
an external filter cannot, of course, be changed as quickly as that of a current pump – to the
active current of the selected pump channel.
Here all functions of the current pump control of the ProfiLux, like e.g. Nocturnal Decrease or
Feeding Pause, are available.
Proceeding:
First set up a pump group and current pump according to your requirements.
After that you can make the following settings in the Eheim menu:
EHEIM-Controller connected – Selection of Yes required for ProfiLux 4 to control the
ProfiLux EHEIM controller
Current pump – Select the channel of the flow pump which is to control the flow rate
of the EHEIM external filter
