6.8 Expanding the Width of the Plot Area
The EXPAND function allows you to extend the width of the plot area by 9.5 mm on both sides for
a total 19-mm increase, thereby enabling you to perform cutting up to the area where the pinch rollers
are positioned.
Step 1
Press the
PAUSE
key to enter PAUSE mode.
Step 2
Press the
NEXT PAGE
key until the menu below appears.

After pressing the
F1/ORIGIN
key (FILM), press the
NEXT PAGE
key twice to display the menu below.
EXPAND
Step 4
Press the
F1/ORIGIN
key (EXPAND) to display the menu below.
ON EXPAND
OFF
The blinking square cursor indicates the currently selected EXPAND setting.
Step 5
To enable the EXPAND mode, press the
F1/ORIGIN
key to move the blinking cursor to the ON position.
To disable the EXPAND mode, press the
F2/TEST
key to move the blinking cursor to the OFF position.
When the cursor appears in front of the desired setting, press the
ENTER
key to register your EXPAND
setting.
Step 6
If you did not change the EXPAND setting in Step 5, press the
key to cancel the PAUSE mode.
If you changed the EXPAND setting in Step 5, the menu below appears. This is the same menu for
selecting the media mode that appears whenever the medium has been reloaded.

Press the
F1/ORIGIN
key (ROLL 1) or
F2/TEST
key (ROLL 2) to select the media mode that suits the
roll medium you have just loaded.
