This appendix contains cabling diagrams for common EVA4400 installation environments. If you plan

Connecting device port Fibre Channel cables to the EVA4400

This section shows two views of how you can connect cables to the controller. Figure 22 shows the
controller mounted on top of the disk shelves in the rack, and Figure 23 shows the controller with disk
shelves mounted above and below it.
1. For configurations with the controller above the disk enclosures, attach the cables to the EVA as
shown in Figure 22.
NOTE:
All controller device port A cabling must be plugged into the A I/O modules on all enclosures.
All controller B device port cabling must be plugged into the B I/O modules on all enclosures.
