1-4
antenna VSWR is higher than 1.5 in the case of all orientations, there may be some
problems with the antenna or its connectors, and in this case, please perform the
above test again. If the antenna VSWR is lower than 1.5 just in the case of some
orientations, it is not definite that the antenna has problems and the installation can
proceed. Upon completion of the antenna installation, re-test the antenna VSWR. If
the antenna VSWR is still too high, it can be concluded that the problem lies in the
antenna and therefore, the antenna should be replaced.
1.5.2 Testing TTA
Inspect the TTA for any obvious damage, and then test the VSWR on both ports.
During the test, make sure that the port not being tested is connected with the 50 Ω
matched terminal load. If not, error of the test result may be great.
This test is implemented when the equipment is not powered on. If the test result is
much different from the corresponding index, the TTA should be replaced.

  Note:
Normally, the TTA should be tested when it is powered on, for the result is better than that in power-off
case. The test mentioned above simplified is a simplified operation applicable to occasions without
corresponding test. If conditions permit, installer should also test the current of the powered-on TTA. If
the TTA current is within the range of 50~175mA, the VSWR is considered to be suitable.

1.6 Adding Feeder Connector
Feeder connectors should be added to the feeders on the installation site. It is
recommended that the connectors of the feeders to be used on the tower be made on
the ground, and then be wrapped up using soft materials such as sponge for
protection purpose before being hoisted, as shown in Figure 1-1. There are two types
of connectors: 7/16 DIN and N. The adding methods for the two types are the same.
The detailed operation instruction for adding the feeder connector can be found in the
packing box. Do follow the instruction. After adding the connectors, the instructions
should be kept for later reference.
