condition has
occurred.
1. Make sure that the latest levels of
firmware and device drivers are
installed for all adapters and
standard devices, such as Ethernet,
SCSI, and SAS.
Important: Some cluster solutions
require specific code levels or
coordinated code updates. If the
device is part of a cluster solution,
verify that the latest level of code is
supported for the cluster solution
before you update the code.
2. Update the firmware (UEFI and
IMM) to the latest level “Updating
the firmware” on page 111).
3. Run the DSA program.
4. Re-seat the adapter (see “Removing
an adapter” on page 358 and
“Installing an adapter” on page 79).
5. Replace the adapter.
6. (Trained technician only) Replace
microprocessor n (see “Removing a
microprocessor and heat sink” on
page 416 and “Installing a
microprocessor and heat sink” on
page 92).
7. (Trained technician only) Replace
the system board (see “Removing
the system board” on page 428 and
“Replacing the system board” on
page 430).

1. Make sure that the fans are
operating. There are no obstructions
to the airflow (front and rear of the
server), the air baffles are in place
and correctly installed, and the
server cover is installed and
completely closed.
2. Make sure that the heat sink for
microprocessor nis installed
correctly.
3. (Trained technician only) Replace
microprocessor n (see “Removing a
microprocessor and heat sink” on
page 416 and “Replacing a
microprocessor and heat sink” on
page 418).
