3.10.3 RAID controllers
The Storage Book contains two PCIe 3.0 x8 slots for RAID controllers or SAS HBAs for use
with the internal drives. If two eXFlash SSD units (16x 1.8-inch SSDs) are used, then two
controllers are required.
Figure 3-21 shows the Storage Book’s internal components and one of the RAID adapters.

Table 3-11 lists the RAID controllers, HBAs, and additional hardware and feature upgrades
used for internal disk storage. The adapters are installed in slots in the Storage Book.
