AREA MODES
The system is designed to operate in Single Area or Multi-Area mode.
-In Single Area mode the system only uses one area, the “General Area” or “Area 1”.
When Single Area mode is selected, the Area Lamps on the Terminal are not used and any Multi-Area
programming or operating functions are ignored.
-When Multi-Area mode is selected, up to four separate Areas can be used. The Area Lamps on the
Terminal indicate the status of each individual Area.
MULTI-AREA SYSTEMS
When the system operates in Multi-Area mode, it can be configured as four separate Areas, or as 3 Areas
with Area 4 as the Sub-Area.
Sub-Area Mode. When this mode is selected, Area 4 will only be armed when all the Areas included in
Area 4’s “Sub-Area list” are armed. When this mode is selected, Area 4 can be Disarmed from a Terminal
or Keyswitch, but will not Arm unless all the Areas in the Sub-Area List are Armed.
NOTE: If an Entry/Exit Area is required in a Multi-Area system, Area 1 is recommended.
MULTI-AREA OPTIONS Default = No Options Selected
If the system is in Single Area mode, none of the Sub-Area options need to be programmed.
Option: When Selected:
1 Enables Multi-area mode. (Default is Single area mode)
2 Enables Area 4 as the Sub-Area.
3 Includes Area 1 in the Area 4 Sub-Area list.
4 Includes Area 2 in the Area 4 Sub-Area list.
5 Includes Area 3 in the Area 4 Sub-Area list.
AREA ENTRY DELAY TIME Default = Area 1: 30 Seconds
These Addresses set the Entry time to be applied to Zone Inputs programmed as Delayed Zones.
i.e. Zone Types 1 (Delayed) and 2 (Handover).

Entry Delay Time Address: 928 929 930 931
AREA EXIT DELAY TIME Default = Area 1: 60 Seconds
These Addresses set the Exit time to be applied to Zone Inputs programmed as Delayed Zones.
i.e. Zone Types 1 (Delayed) and 2 (Handover).
