3.7 CONNECTING TO OTHER MAKER'S GPS,
COMPASS OR NMEA HEADING OUTPUT
DEVICE
This section describes how to connect to other maker's equipment.
Connecting to electronic compass or NMEA heading output device
Connect a gyro equipment or equivalent that provide a below turn rate. Otherwise, the
performance of signal process and target tracking decrease.
Standard craft 12 deg/sec
High speed craft 20 deg/sec
Following NMEA sentences can be received.
THS, HDT, HDG, HDM
Connecting to GPS receiver, electronic compass or NMEA heading output device
When receiving NMEA data from other maker's GPS or receiving azimuth information
data from the GPS compass or NMEA heading output device, connect the necessary
signal lines to the attached NMEA data connector P3/4/5 (for J3/4/5) using the following
diagram as the reference.
