CALibration:ADC?
Performs a low-level calibration of the ADC (analog-to-digital converter) circuitry.
Parameter Typical return
(none) +0 (pass) or +1 (fail)
Performs a ADC calibration: CAL:ADC?
This is the first step in a re-calibration sequence, and must be done before doing the offset calibration.
If a calibration fails, the instrument returns 1 and generates an error message. See Calibration Errors for a com-
plete listing of the calibration error messages.
CALibration:[ALL]?
Performs a calibration using the value specified in CALibration:VALue command. A short must be applied for the res-
istance and voltage measurement functions, and the inputs must be open for the current measurement functions.
Parameter Typical return
(none) +0 (pass) or +1 (fail)
Performs a calibration and returns a pass/fail indication:
CAL?
This query increments the instrument’s calibration count (CALibration:COUNt?) and modifies the volatile version
of the calibration constants. Use CALibration:STORe to save these constants in reading memory at the end of cal-
ibration.
CALibration:COUNt?
Queries the instrument to return the number of times it has been calibrated.
The instrument was calibrated before shipping from the factory. When you receive your instrument, be sure
to read the various counts to determine its initial value.
Parameter Typical return
(none) +273
Returns the calibration count: CAL:COUN?
The calibration count increments up to a maximum of 65,535, after which it rolls over to 0. As the value incre-
ments by one for each calibration point, a complete calibration may increase the value by various counts.
The mainframe calibration count is incremented by the CALibration:STORe command (the mainframe must be
unsecured; see CALibration:SECure:STATe OFF command). You can read the calibration count regardless of
whether the instrument is secured.
